Message from our Chairman

I really look forward to our fortnightly meetings at what I like to call "The grown ups Youth Club".

Come along and join us - you will be surprised at the fun you will have mixing with a cracking group of people. Pick up the phone and give it a try.

One-off schedule change

Because of a prior booking, the lunchtime meeting on Tuesday 16th October has been moved to Wednesday 17th October. Usual time, usual location.

New Venue

Our six month trial period at the Rugby Club is now reaching its end. After discussions with the Committee and members, it has been decided to change our Wednesday night's venue from Narberth Rugby Club to the Vine Inn at Johnston. This was decided by a unanimous vote of both committee and members at today's meeting at the Golf Club. Our daytime meetings are going very well and together with the evening meetings will enable us to split the activities to suit the venue.

The Vine Inn is now under new management and all reports are excellent, especially the food.

In a change from previously advertised venue, the meeting on 27th September will now be held at:

Silverdale Inn and Lodge

Vine Road, Johnston

SA62 3NZ.

On roundabout next door to Tru Plas Conservatories, on main Haverfordwest to Milford Haven Road.

The new itinerary is as follows:

Wednesday 13th September 7.30pm - Pub games at Narberth Rugby Club
Wednesday 27th September 7.30pm. Meal and a chat at Silverdale Inn and Lodge
Wednesday 11th October 7.30 Harvest Auction at the Vine Inn, Johnston.
Our next Tuesday meeting at the Golf Club on 19th September will be a talk by Frank Harries.

Exciting news

At the AGM Maureen promised to try and find a good venue for our extra meetings to be held in the afternoon, staggered with our usual Wednesday evening meetings. After many venues visited she came across a little diamond! South Pembs Golf Club has everything we need. A private room to ourselves, good, very reasonably priced food, large varied menu, ample parking, friendly staff and amazing views over the Pembrokeshire countryside. The Golf club can accommodate us on Tuesdays, the bar and restaurant is open from 11am to 2.30pm, although they do stay open later for tea and coffee. So please come along and give it a try.

Our first meeting will be on the 8th August from 11.30am.

South Pembs Golf Club, Military Road, Pembroke Dock. SA72 6SE
